In addition to his role as Director of Biblical Education, Elias is the patriarch of the Flores family. His spiritual and parental mentorship, along with his wife, Rachel, provided their six children, including Moises, Marcos, Rebecca and Miriam with a Godly foundation inspiring them to devote their lives to bringing God’s Word to the people. Prior to his current role, Elias held numerous ministry positions across the Western United States including serving successfully as pastor at Iglesia Hermosa in Pueblo, Colorado, Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle in La Puente, California, Iglesia Abarin in Hermiston, Oregon, and Iglesia El Calvario in Sunnyside, Washington. Additionally, Elias served as Professor of Theology, Ministry and Bible Survey at Latin America Bible Institute (LABI). Elias’s born-again experience in 1950 led to a “new heart and new mind” allowing him to lead a consistently spiritual life where his public pastoral image is congruent with his private family life. Over the years, and throughout his pastoral assignments, his biblical instructive leadership and genuine love of people were characteristics enabling him to reach, teach and inspire thousands of congregants. Elias was ordained by both Dr. Carlos Madrigal Mora in 1965 and later by Assemblies of God.
A lover of sports, Elias is a longtime fan of the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, USC and Vanguard University wrestling where his grandson, Caleb, is the head coach.
A lifelong learner, Elias received a Ministry Degree from CLADIC Seminary in 1957, and later earned dual degrees from Azusa Pacific University where he holds a Master of Divinity Degree and Master of Ministry Degree.
