Moises Flores is the founder of II Adam Ministries and has been the senior pastor since its official inception in January 2014. Prior to serving in his current role, Moises also pastored at Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle, in La Puente, under the leadership of Pastor Elias Flores, his dad, and House of Grace, in Whittier, where he served alongside Pastor Ralph De La Torre. In addition to his many years as a pastor, Moises was employed by United Parcel Services (UPS) in various roles, including a multi-area supervisory position where he was responsible for new hire recruitment and training. An exemplary manager, Moises was selected as supervisor of the month for six consecutive quarters based on production, safety, attitude and leadership. Moises retired from UPS in 2017 following 33 years of service. Since his retirement, Moises has devoted his full-time efforts to II Adam Ministries in order to “inspire, instruct and influence congregants – and empower each - to live life to the fullest in Christ.” Moises believes that II Adam Ministries provides a life-changing environment built on The Word of God – and that it is an optimistic and stabilizing force for church members, families and the community. Having learned the importance of serving others from his mother and father, Moises is passionate about helping people to restore their lives, marriages and families through his spiritual mentoring and real-life guidance. Genuine, engaging and biblically well-versed, Moises’ warm personality and love of Jesus is at the heart of II Adam Ministries. Furthermore, Moises strong pastoral leadership and authentic love of people allow him to develop and scripturally guide congregants in all areas of their respective lives. In his personal life, Moises has been recognized as a role model for fathers of special needs children because of his parental love and approach to his special need’s son. He’s been asked to speak on the subject of raising special needs children by various organizations. Moises also has a loving daughter who lIves in Whittier. Like many people, Moises has endured his share of adversity – his beautiful wife and partner in II Adam Ministries, Crystal, died of pancreatic cancer in 2010. Through his life and actions, Moises uses this tragedy as an opportunity to “let Christ be revealed in a time of despair…and to give people hope.” Moises ever-present smile, warmth and courage are a testament to his steadfast faith, hope and love of God.
His favorite scripture verse is Psalm 27:13 - I had fainted, unless I had believed in the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living.
An active sports fan, Moises is an ardent supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Dodgers and all USC athletic teams. And not inclined to merely sitting on the sidelines, Moises’ enjoys playing basketball, jogging, hiking and camping. His other interests are reading and visiting museums.
Moises earned certificates of ordination, finishing at the top of his seminary class, from both Upon This Rock International @ Azusa Pacific University and Great Commission Ministries.
